Outreach

Angela Baggett, MOPS MAC for Louisiana and east Texas, has requested that we collect infant items to be donated to a young, soon-to-be-Mom from Marrero who escaped Hurricane Katrina with only the clothes on her back.

One item in particular that is needed before the baby's birth is a car seat. Please contact Denise Ainsworth if you plan to provide this item. Please refer to your directory for contact information.

Whether you prefer to donate items, or cash for postage, please be sure to bring them to our Packaging Party at Denise Ainsworth's home on Wednesday, September 28th, at 10am. Coffee will be provided.

Operation Christmas Child

Be sure to begin collecting shoeboxes for this year's Operation Christmas Child, the unique project of
Samaritan's Purse that enables caring people to share God's love with hurting girls and boys in the far corners of the globe.

Last year we compiled 16 shoeboxes and we hope to surpass that figure this year.

 

 

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is for mothers who are in the same phase of life – mothering children from infancy through Kindergarten. Here a mom finds encouragement, support, teaching, and friendships.

MOPS is about ...

MOPS meetings allow moms to

  • Learn about motherhood, womanhood and the home,
  • Engage in meaningful discussions about various topics
  • And enjoy crafts and snacks with other moms without interruption!
